There is no public playground in Schöllang. However, the beech grove above the village offers brilliant natural play opportunities for collecting leaves and beechnuts, building ‘gnome caves’ and so on (about a 15-minute walk). Children can then use their finds to make crafts in the nature workshop in the house. Young children can let off steam in our underground car park with pedal tractors, various vehicles and on the climbing wall. In summer, there is a small sandpit by the car park next to the house.

Bus route 45 runs every one to two hours during the peak summer and winter seasons. The earliest bus to Oberstdorf leaves at around 6.45 am, and the last bus from Oberstdorf leaves at 9.30 pm. From Schöllang, it takes 12 minutes to reach the terminus, the bus station in Oberstdorf. From there, you can change to the mountain railways, travel to the Oberstdorf valleys or head to the Kleinwalsertal.
Bus route 45 also takes you to Sonthofen.

Oberstdorf, 6 km away, can be reached by car in just under 10 minutes; for example, the P2 car park (free parking for up to 8 hours for our guests). It takes about 1.5 hours to walk to the centre of Oberstdorf. There are lovely cycle paths running through the villages, so you can reach Oberstdorf by bike in about 25 minutes.

The nearest bike/e-bike hire is in Fischen (3 km away): ‘Hörnerbike’ or ‘Radsport Voggel’. Even more convenient is e-bike hire straight from our accommodation: at “E-Rad-Verleih Gunzesried” (https://www.der-erad-verleih.de/), you can book your e-bike online and have it delivered directly to us. You can also collect it from us.

Our guests can enjoy private use of the sauna or hot tub every day. To do so, they simply need to sign up in the morning using their room key card on the booking board in the wellness area. In the evening, they can then use their chosen facility for one hour without being disturbed. Use of the facilities is free of charge. There are three time slots for the sauna and two for the hot tub.
